A few months later I got the Fenix 5s plus anyway because I just loved the look and the Forerunner didn't look that fancy. I ended up loving the watch. I have a fenix 5s plus sapphire and I've smashed it against plenty of things and the only thing to show damage is the bezel. I have heard alot of people do use screen protector for non sapphire though
